Schneck Medical Center names Mindy Roeder Vice President; Announces leadership reorganization

SEYMOUR — Schneck Medical Center is strengthening its executive team with the appointment of Mindy Roeder as Vice President of Specialty/Surgical Services and Business Development. The move is part of a broader leadership reorganization aimed at enhancing patient care and driving strategic growth for the regional healthcare provider.

Mindy Roeder

Roeder is a veteran of the Schneck organization, having joined the medical center in 2011 as director of physician recruitment, followed by director of business development and most recently executive of business development and provider relations.

In her new executive role, Roeder will oversee Schneck’s specialty and surgical service lines. Her primary focus will be driving strategic growth initiatives and fostering partnerships to expand access to advanced medical services for the community.

Roeder holds a bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, and risk management from Indiana State University and an MBA with a concentration in healthcare from the University of Southern Indiana.

Beyond the hospital walls, Roeder is a prominent figure in Jackson County youth athletics and civic life. She is the co-founder and co-director of the Cougar Volleyball Club LLC, which serves nearly 200 local athletes annually. Her nearly two decades of coaching and board service—including roles with Seymour Main Street and Immanuel Lutheran School—earned her the Rising Star Award from the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

The appointment of Roeder coincides with several title changes within the senior leadership team to better align with the hospital’s long-term vision:

Deborah Mann, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Kathy Covert, vice president of professional service and chief human resources officer.

Susan Zabor, vice president of primary care and chief quality officer.

Eric Fish

These changes reflect Schneck’s commitment to strong leadership and continued excellence in patient care and community engagement,” said Eric D. Fish, President and CEO of Schneck Medical Center.

The reorganization is expected to streamline operations as the medical center continues to expand its footprint in Southern Indiana.
