COLUMBUS – Bedford North Lawrence’s Ava Lipp won her signature event, taking the title in the 100-yard backstroke in the Hoosier Hills Conference meet during girls high school swimming action on Saturday.
The Stars finished fourth in the team standings with 150 points. Seymour won the team championship with 391.
Lipp touched first in the backstroke in 1:04.33.
Other top performances for the Stars included Emma Heinzman (fifth in the 100 butterfly) and the 200 medley relay (Ava Lipp, Heinzman, Sabrina Lipp and Alaina Fish finished third in 2:05.24).
BNL will visit Seymour on Tuesday.
