CASS COUNTY – On December 22, 2025, Detective Wendell Beachy from the Indiana State Police Peru District initiated a criminal investigation after receiving information that Jacob M. Torres, 33, of Logansport, had allegedly molested a child.
Detective Beachy conducted the investigation and submitted the findings to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office. After reviewing the investigation, the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office filed criminal charges against Torres, and an arrest warrant was issued.
On January 11, 2026, shortly after 8:30 p.m., Torres turned himself in at the Cass County Jail, where he currently is being held on two counts of child molesting.
