BEDFORD — The City of Bedford Street and Sanitation Department has released the pickup schedule for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Residents are advised that while some services will remain on their regular schedule, others will see a slight delay.
To ensure all waste is collected efficiently, the city has outlined the following adjustments:
Standard Trash Collection: All standard trash route toters will be picked up on Monday, January 19, as routinely scheduled. Residents should have their toters out at their normal time.
Recycling Collection: There will be no recycling pickup on Monday. The Monday recycling route will be delayed by one day and will be collected on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
City officials encourage residents with specific questions or concerns regarding their service to contact the department directly at the Bedford Street & Sanitation Department by calling 812-279-9222 from Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
