Norman woman arrested for OWI at McDonald’s Drive-Thru

BEDFORD A 20-year-old Norman woman was arrested early Sunday morning after police discovered her allegedly intoxicated in the drive-thru of a local McDonald’s.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Trooper Cody R. Brown of the Indiana State Police, Tinley F. Gray was taken into custody on January 4, 2026, following a dispatch to the restaurant located at 3302 16th Street, Bedford.

Upon arriving at the scene at approximately 3:22 a.m., Trooper Brown observed a white 2019 Toyota Camry with multiple passengers at the McDonald’s drive-thru window. While speaking with Gray, the driver, the officer reported smelling the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath.

Gray reportedly admitted to drinking prior to driving to the restaurant.

Gray was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, during which she displayed multiple signs of impairment.

After being read the Indiana Implied Consent Law, Gray agreed to a certified chemical test at the Bedford Police Department. That test resulted in a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .161%—more than double the legal limit for an adult and significantly over the limit for a minor.

As a result of the investigation, Gray was booked into the Lawrence County Jail on the following preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of 0.15 and minor consumption.

Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
