BNL Scholarship Foundation announces application kickoff for Class of 2026

BEDFORD The Bedford North Lawrence (BNL) Scholarship Foundation has announced that applications for its 2026 scholarship cycle will officially become available on Friday, Jan. 9.

The Foundation, which provides over 300 scholarships annually to graduating seniors, is making a major push to ensure all eligible students have the resources they need to apply. Representatives will be on-site in the BNL cafeteria during all lunch periods this Friday to distribute paper applications and answer student questions in person.

Students and parents should take note of the strict timeline for this year’s awards. The Foundation emphasizes that late entries will not be considered.

  • Applications Available: Friday, Jan. 9, 2026
  • Final Submission Deadline: Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
  • Where to Submit: All completed and signed applications must be turned in to the BNL Counseling Department.

The BNL Scholarship Foundation is a cornerstone of our community’s support for education,” the Foundation noted. With more than 300 awards available, we encourage every senior to explore these opportunities.

Where to Find an Application

If students are unable to meet with representatives during lunch on Friday, applications can be found at the following locations:

While academic achievement is a primary factor, the selection committee utilizes a holistic review process. Scholarships are awarded based on:

  • Participation: Involvement in school-based clubs and broader community activities.
  • Demonstrated Talent: Proven accomplishment in the student’s specific intended field of study.
  • Personal Interview: Finalists will participate in an interview with the selection committee later this spring.

Last year, the Foundation awarded over $750,000 to deserving students, helping them pursue degrees at accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools across the country.
