INDIANAPOLIS – Hoosiers can take a look inside the Indiana Governor’s Residence this Christmas through a collection of photos showcasing the home decorated for the holiday season by First Lady Maureen Braun.
The decorations reflect a warm, traditional Christmas and highlight meaningful family touches throughout the Residence. Among the seasonal highlights are a Christmas tree in the front entryway donated by Dull’s Tree Farm, stockings hung for each member of the Braun family in the private residence entrance, and a scrapbook created by the First Lady featuring the family’s Christmas cards from years past.
The holiday décor was assembled using existing items, personal decorations from the First Lady’s own collection, and donated elements. There was no cost to taxpayers.
“Christmas is a time to reflect, celebrate faith and family, and appreciate meaningful traditions,” said First Lady Maureen Braun. “I wanted the Residence to feel warm and familiar, while being mindful of using what we already have.”
