Phyllis E. Mefford, 75, of Oolitic, passed away at 7:05 a.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 25, 1950, in Greene Co., she was the daughter of Edwin D. and Zella V. (Woodall) Killian Goodman. She retired from Cook Medical Group. She loved to read and was an avid Colts fan.
Survivors include her life partner, Tim Smith; a son Jon (Leslie) Mefford; Clay Smith; grandchildren, Caitlin (Clayton) Cummings, Allison (Austin) Johnson, Gage, Levi, and Seth Smith; great-grandchildren, Jovie and June Cummings; Colton Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Harold Goodman, Irene Goodman Bedwell, Everet Goodman, Luther Killian, Rosella Carmichael, Carolyn Hash.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26th at the Fayetteville Community Cemetery, 6301 State Road 158, in Bedford. Burial will follow.
