BEDFORD — Lawrence County residents should plan ahead for government business later this week. By Executive Order of the Lawrence County Commissioners, all county offices will be closed on Friday, December 26, 2025.
The closure extends the holiday weekend for county employees following Christmas Day. While emergency services and law enforcement will remain fully operational, administrative offices—including the courthouse, highway department, and health department—will be unavailable for public walk-ins or routine inquiries during this time.
On Monday, Dec. 29, all offices resume standard business hours.
Officials encourage residents to utilize online portals for property tax payments, permit applications, or record searches where available during the closure.
