Larry L. Lake, 84, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born February 14, 1941, in Bedford, the son of Loren and Mary Alice (Turner) Lake. He married Karen Stannard and she survives. He retired from RCA and Lawrence County Waste Management. He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and president of the Monroe Co. Horseshoe Club. He loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, of Bedford; a son, Alan Lake; a daughter, Susan Lake Lempke; grandchildren, Chris Lake, Courtney Lake, and Michelle Lempke ; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Luca, and Alina Lake; a sister, Carolyn Shackleford; a brother, Vick Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Danny Pierce; his dad, Ray Pierce.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jay Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
