BLOOMINGTON – Due to a main break, 8 addresses on S College Mall Road are under a precautionary Boil Water Advisory until 12:30 pm Saturday, 12/20, unless otherwise notified. More information and specific addresses are available at bloomington.in.gov/utilities or 812-339-1444.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) requires all public water systems to issue a precautionary Boil Water Advisory when the water main pressure drops below 20 psi. Those affected should follow these instructions:
- Immediately after your normal water pressure is restored, run COLD water from a sink or tub until the faucet runs clear.
- Boil all water used for drinking, cooking, and oral hygiene for at least 5 minutes before consumption.
- It is not necessary to boil water for other uses.
