Brighten the Holidays for those in need: Adopt a Guest at The Men’s Warming Shelter

BEDFORD — The Men’s Warming Shelter of Bedford is thanking community members who have already stepped forward to participate in its “Adopt a Guest for Christmas” program, while encouraging others to help ensure every guest has gifts to open on Christmas morning.

The shelter said several guests have already been adopted through the program, but a few individuals are still awaiting sponsors. Community members interested in participating can contact the shelter directly through a private message on its Facebook page to be matched with a guest and a wish list.

The annual program allows residents to provide holiday gifts for men staying at the shelter. Organizers said most requests are modest and practical, often including items such as watches, gas cards, or backpacks. Shelter officials noted that beyond the gifts themselves, the program reassures guests that someone in the community cares about them during the holiday season.

Those interested in adopting a guest are encouraged to reach out soon so all participants can be matched in time for Christmas.
