LAWRENCE CO. — The Shawswick Volunteer Fire Fighters Association, Inc. (SVFFA) presented a $65,000 annual contract to the Lawrence County Commissioners on Tuesday morning to continue providing ambulance service to the county.
Shawswick Township Trustee Millard Jones said the Shawswick VFD plays a significant role in county-wide fire and ambulance assistance.
The commissioners tabled the vote on the contract, stating they would need to secure the funding.
“There are a lot of balls in the air,” said Commissioner President Rodney Fish. “We will do the best we can.”
