BEDFORD – A multi-agency operation led by the Indiana State Police resulted in the arrest of a Greenfield man on Monday following an investigation into sexual misconduct involving a minor.
Detectives from the Indiana State Police (ISP) Bloomington District, the Drug Enforcement Section, and members of the ISP SWAT team converged in Bedford to serve an active arrest warrant on Bradley Michael James Brkljac, 25.

The apprehension took place after investigators observed Brkljac leaving an apartment complex in Bedford. Troopers initiated a targeted traffic stop, and Brkljac was taken into custody without incident.
Following his arrest, he was transported to the Lawrence County Jail, where he remains in custody.
Brkljac faces serious felony charges, according to the warrant, on two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, a level 4 and level 5 felony.
The Indiana State Police have not released further details regarding the nature of the investigation or the identity of the minor involved to protect the privacy of the victim.
Under Indiana law, a Level 4 Felony carries a sentencing range of two to 12 years, while a Level 5 Felony can result in one to six years of incarceration.
Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
