SEYMOUR – On December 13, 2025, patrol officers with the Seymour Police Department responded to the 200 block of S. Vine St. in reference to an individual with a gunshot wound to the neck. When officers arrived on the scene, a woman had told officers that her son was bleeding and had been shot. The victim was transported to Schneck Medical Center and later transferred to another hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. At the time of this incident release, the condition of the victim is unknown.
Investigators with the police department responded to the scene. After obtaining information from patrol officers and conducting interviews, investigators obtained search warrants for a camper, a local business, and a vehicle. During the execution of each search warrant, evidence related to the investigation was located. As a result of the investigation, investigators arrested William D. McIntosh, 67, of Seymour on a preliminary charge of criminal reckless with a deadly weapon. The investigation is ongoing, additional charges may be filed in the investigation, and there is the possibility of additional arrests.
