
Michael Duane Wray Jr., 53, of Science Hill, Kentucky, formally from Bedford, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Michael was born August 15th, 1972, to Michael D Wray Sr & Sandra S. Wray (Reynolds). Michael had worked for Murphy Brothers Pipeline in East Moline, Illinois, with his dad and traveled to many states. He also worked for Bedford Recycle and Stone City Products in Bedford.
He loved the outdoors and loved hunting squirrels and mushrooms. He loved to dig yellow root and ginseng. He loved to fish. He also loved to ride motorcycles. He was a member of the Unchained Ministry Motorcycle Group and, about 14 years ago, had gone to Tennessee and ridden the Dragon with the group.
Michael had also been ordained as a minister and preached at Chapel Hill Church. Michael was a very talented tattoo artist; for being left-handed, he did amazing artwork. Michael had such a great sense of humor and absolutely loved to laugh. His laugh was the best.
Michael was survived by his sister Michelle (Eric) Resler of Bloomfield, & his sister Holly (Wes) Duckett of Bedford. His daughter, Kelia Coates, and 5 grandchildren, Ezekiel, Arielle, Isabel, David, and Amina, all from Kentucky. His aunt Rebecca Keithly of Heltonville, his uncle Orlando Rick Reynolds of Arizona, His aunt Sherry(Jim) Hillenburg, his uncle Joe Bill Watterson, and nephews Tyler Heinich and Samual Mathis. And several great aunts & uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and maternal grandparents, James & Nina Reynolds, and paternal grandparents, Maxine Chapman and Paul Wray. Uncles Ronnie Reynolds, James Michael Reynolds, & Elmer Dale Reynolds, and aunt Brenda Sue Elliott, & nephew Christopher Heinich. Great Grandparents Goldie & Orlando Prince, Thelma & Lester Reynolds, and James & Minnie Reynolds. And several aunts and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on December 20th at 1 pm at Momentum Community Church, 1403 R Street, Bedford, Indiana 47421
