Ronald Kellams, 85 of Mitchell, entered into eternal rest on November 18, 2025 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in New Albany, Indiana, on February 21, 1940, to Noble Jessie and Faye L. (Apple) Kellams. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron was a 1958 graduate of Springs Valley High School, was a mechanic, and in 1968 started his own garage in Mitchell, working at several local auto parts stores. Ron drove a school bus for more than 50 years at Mitchell and Springs Valley Schools.
Ron enjoyed working on vehicles, going to shooting matches, and loved driving the school bus.
He is survived by his companion, Debra Jackson of Mitchell, a brother, Eddie Kellams (Helen) of West Baden Springs, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Monday, November 24th, at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, November 24th, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
