NATIONWIDE – DoorDash announced today, November 13, 2025, that it recently identified and contained a cybersecurity incident in which an unauthorized third party gained access to and extracted certain user information.

The company stated that the breach was the result of a social engineering scam targeting a DoorDash employee. The response team quickly shut down the unauthorized access, launched an investigation, and referred the matter to law enforcement.
Data Accessed and Affected Users
DoorDash emphasized that no sensitive information was compromised, and there is currently no indication that the accessed data has been misused for fraud or identity theft.
- Data Accessed: The personal information accessed varied by individual and may have included:
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Physical address
- Data NOT Accessed: The unauthorized party did not access sensitive information, including Social Security numbers, government-issued identification, driver’s license information, or bank or payment card information.
- Affected Parties: The incident impacted a mix of consumers, Dashers, and merchants. The company confirmed that Wolt or Deliveroo users were not affected.
DoorDash Response and Security Enhancements
DoorDash is implementing immediate steps to prevent future incidents:
- System Enhancements: Deploying new enhancements to its security systems to prevent and detect similar malicious activities.
- Employee Training: Implementing additional training and awareness for employees regarding social engineering scams.
- External Support: Bringing in an external firm to assist with the investigation and provide specialized support.
- Law Enforcement: The matter has been referred to law enforcement for an ongoing investigation.
