BLOOMINGTON— A Bloomington man was taken into custody Monday following an investigation into the possession of child sex abuse material.
The Indiana State Police (ISP) announced the arrest of 57-year-old Greg Vaughn on two preliminary felony counts. Both counts are Level 5 felonies for possession of child sex abuse material involving children under 12 years of age.

Vaughn was transported to the Monroe County Jail shortly after his arrest.
The investigation began in October and was spearheaded by the Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. The initial inquiry led law enforcement to identify Vaughn as a suspect in the case.
On Monday, November 10th, authorities executed a search warrant at Vaughn’s Bloomington home, where electronic and digital media devices were seized. Officials noted that the examination of these devices remains ongoing.
The ISP release indicated that additional charges in the case could be “possibly forthcoming” as the analysis of the seized media continues.
The Indiana State Police ICAC Unit was assisted in the investigation by the Bloomington Police Department and the Ellettsville Police Department.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent until proven guilty through a fair and due legal process. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
