Patrick I. Beck, 59, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at his home, with his family by his side.
Born on August 19, 1966, in Elyria, Ohio, he was the son of David James and Nancy B. (Irwin) Beck.
Patrick worked as a truck driver for United Refrigeration in Indianapolis for over 15 years, driving more than one million miles for the company. Pat loved and cherished his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, grandfather, and brother. Pat was a friend to all, never met a stranger, and loved to talk to everyone. He also loved working outside, planting trees, gardening, riding his Harley, playing card games, or simply being at home, sitting by the fire, and spending time with his family and his dog, Nora, whom he loved deeply.
Pat is survived by his wife, Connie J. Beck, of Seymour, IN; stepson, Cody (Kendra) Hohenstreiter, of Paris Crossing, IN; two grandchildren, Cooper Hohenstreiter and Zayleigh Hankins, and their mother, Raven Grider all of Seymour; his four sisters, Mary Michelle “Shelley” Beck; Sandra L, “Sandy” Rybski; Carol Ann Beck, all of Columbus, OH, and Kathleen (James) Poulson of Harpers Ferry, WV; his brother, David Jeffrey Beck, of Columbus, OH; and several neices, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Nancy Beck; his brother-in-law, Daniel Rybski.
Memorial services will be held at Noon on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Burkholder Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes in Seymour, with Rev. James Rodriguez and Matt Neiman officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, also on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the funeral home. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Memorial contributions may be made in Patrick’s memory to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Immanuel Lutheran Youth.
