SELLERSBURG – The Indiana State Police (ISP) Sellersburg Post has bolstered its investigative ranks with the addition of two new detectives. On Friday, October 31, Superintendent Anthony Scott officially named Trooper Robert Caudill and Trooper Mackenzie Benham to the position of Detective at a promotion ceremony held in Indianapolis.
Both detectives bring significant experience and specialized training to their new roles in the Sellersburg District.
Detective Robert Caudill
Detective Rob Caudill is a 1992 graduate of Charlestown High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served for eight years as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division.

He joined the ISP in December 2007 and was assigned to the Sellersburg Post. During his tenure as a trooper, Detective Caudill has taken on numerous specialized roles, including field training officer, emergency vehicle operations (PIT) instructor, a member of the Meth Suppression Unit, and a member and instructor for the ISP South Zone Dive Team.
Detective Caudill resides in Clark County with his wife, Jeri.
Detective Mackenzie Benham
Detective Mackenzie Benham is a 2008 graduate of Corydon Central High School and holds an associate’s degree in office administration from IVY Tech Community College (2010).

She was appointed to the Indiana State Police in December 2018 and assigned to the Sellersburg Post. Since then, Detective Benham has rapidly distinguished herself by serving as a background investigator and as a trained investigator assisting the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).
Detective Benham is a native of Harrison County, where she resides with her husband, Casey, and their two daughters, Tatum and Havyn.
