BEDFORD — The Lawrence County Commissioners will convene on Nov. 4 at 9:30 a.m. for their regular meeting, where a key item on the agenda is the Distribution of Opioid Settlement Funds. The commissioners are also slated to approve the 2026 holiday, claim, payroll, and meeting schedules.
The meeting will open with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed immediately by a public hearing concerning an Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Project.
In addition to handling the approval of payroll and claims, appointments are scheduled with Chad Shew regarding Community Corrections Statistics, Millard Jones for the Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department, and Dave Smith to discuss an ordinance for Robin Hood Estates.
Among other items for consideration, the board will discuss changing the December meeting date. The meeting will include department reports from Highway Superintendent Brian Sowder, Emergency Management Director Valerie Luchauer, and Sheriff Greg Day. Any unfinished old business will also be addressed before adjournment. The agenda is subject to change.
