Washington man charged with 11 felony counts in child sexual miscounduct case

WASHINGTON A Washington man has been arrested and formally charged with multiple felony counts following an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations, the Washington Police Department announced.

Detectives began investigating 34-year-old Carlos Rivera Del Valle on October 27 after receiving reports of sexually related offenses. Rivera Del Valle was located and arrested without incident shortly after the investigation commenced.

The Daviess County Prosecutor’s Office has since filed formal charges against him, including nine counts of child molesting and two counts of rape.

Police Chief Derrick Devine credited a collaborative effort with WPD Crime Scene Investigators, the Daviess County Department of Child Services, the Southwestern Indiana Child Advocacy Center Coalition, and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office in developing the case.

Authorities stated that the investigation into the allegations remains ongoing.
