INDIANA – Teasdale Foods, Inc. has announced an urgent recall of specific taco dinner kits distributed across more than two dozen states due to the potential presence of undeclared milk. This poses a serious health risk to individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity, who could experience a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.

The recalled kits were distributed to Giant, Martin’s, and Aldi retail stores across 28 states and the District of Columbia.
The affected states are: Alabama, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
Consumers should immediately check their pantries for the following specific products:
| Retailer | Product Name | UPC | Lot Code | Best if Used By Date | Packaging |
| Martin’s and Giant | Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit | 68826757516 | 25257 | MAR 13 26 | Purple Box |
| Aldi (Casa Mamita) | Soft Taco Dinner Kit | 4099100318715 | 25259 | MAR 15 26 | Blue and Yellow Box |
The recall was initiated after Teasdale Foods received consumer complaints that the Taco Dinner Kits contained cocoa mix packets instead of the intended taco seasoning packets. The cocoa mix packets contain milk, which was not declared on the taco kit’s outer packaging.
An investigation revealed the issue was caused by mislabeling of the taco seasoning packets by a third-party supplier. Fortunately, no illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
Do not consume the recalled products if you have a milk allergy or sensitivity.
Consumers who have purchased the affected Taco Dinner Kits are strongly urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
