Sallyann Hall, 93, of Bedford, passed away at 11:18 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at White River Lodge.
Born September 13, 1932, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of William C. and Vay (Ikerd) Duncan. Sallyann graduated from Bedford High School in 1950 and graduated from Indiana Business College in 1951. She worked as a secretary for the Indiana Limestone Company for 31 years.
She loved playing the piano. She gave piano lessons for several years and was a pianist at several local churches, and played weekly at Stonebridge Health Campus. Her love of the Lord God and Jesus showed through with everyone she met. She served Him with love in her music, teaching, prayers, volunteering, and friendship.
She married James E. Hall, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Melvin Rile, and wife, Elaine, of Bedford; a daughter, Katherine Ann Hodges and husband, Richard, of Bedford; a step-son, David Hall and wife, Mary; two step-daughters, Dianna and Melissa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Hall; two brothers, William G. Duncan and wife, Elizabeth, and Richard V. Duncan and wife, Dottie; a daughter, Charlotte Vest.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31st, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
