SPRINGVILLE – Local parents and concerned citizens are invited to attend a critical community event focused on Internet and Social Media Safety, hosted by the Springville Community Academy.
The educational session will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Springville Community Academy, located at 126 Brick Street, in Springville.

The program is being presented in collaboration with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce, bringing state-level expertise to the local community.
The meeting aims to educate attendees on:
- The dangers of the internet and social media.
- Effective ways parents can detect these dangers.
- How to respond if a child or family member becomes a victim.
A highlight of the event will be the presence of several special guests, including:
- Electronic Storage Detection K9 Titus
- Lawrence County Sheriff Greg Day
- Representatives from the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office
The presentations will be followed by a Question-and-Answer (Q&A) session with the investigators, providing a direct opportunity for citizens to seek information and guidance.
