Shawn Lynn Waggoner, 66, of Oolitic, passed away at IU Health in Bloomington on October 21, 2025.
She was born in Bedford on January 12, 1959, to Ben McDermed and Patricia (George) McClintock. Shawn married Terry Waggoner on October 24, 1977, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2023. Shawn worked as a CNA and as a cook at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford.
Survivors include four sons, Bryon (Jennifer) Waggoner, Evett (Sara) Waggoner, Andy (Kelsey) Waggoner, and Aaron (Sheena) Waggoner, ten grandchildren, with one on the way, six great grandchildren, four step grandchildren.
Shawn was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, sister Shannon McDermed, granddaughter Tatlin Allen, and grandson Sean Waggoner.
Cremation was chosen.
