BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence senior Jayella Filler was named to the Hoosier Hills Conference’s First Team by the league coaches.
Filler was a three-year team captain for the Stars, who finished 4-11-2 overall. Filler was an Honorable Mention pick in the league last season.
Other selections for the First Team included Floyd Central’s Mia Gianfagna, Taylor Moore, Bella Stenberg, Amelia Kaml and Renee Edens; New Albany’s Bailey Beldon, Avery Holder, Clara Railey and Kyra Richmer; and Columbus East’s Sophie Glick and Morgan Scott. Selections for Jeffersonville, Jennings County and Seymour have not been reported.
Floyd Central won the league title with a 6-0 record.
BNL’s Summer Hughes was named Honorable Mention.
