Roxie Bex, 84, of Bedford, passed away at 6:04 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born May 7, 1941, in Clay Co., KY, she was the daughter of William and Lona (Taylor) Smallwood. She married Roy Bex, and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2021. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Hospitality House and attended the Bryantsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughters, Ana Stevens and husband, Jerry, Emily Jordan and husband, William Tedrow, and Betty Brown and husband, Jim; sons, Dewey Jordan and wife, Pam, Victor Jordan and wife, Sandra; step-sons, Brian Bex and wife, Melissa and Aaron Bex and wife, Diane; 18 grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Jerry Stevens, Jr., one granddaughter, Chrissy Jordan, one great-grandchild, Penelope Lanier, and one step-grandchild, Tori Bex.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23rd, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jon Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Port Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
