BEDFORD — Bedford City Utilities has announced that maintenance crews, in partnership with Master Meter employees, are currently completing water meter register updates in several areas of the city.
The affected areas include Williams Road, Saddle Barn Addition, Heltonville Road, Fellowship Drive, Brook Knoll, Washington Avenue, River Bluff Road, and Broadview Addition.
Residents will notice two types of flags during this process. A blue flag placed by Bedford Utilities indicates that a meter pit has been located, while a pink flag placed by Master Meter signifies that the register is being updated. Crews will remove transmitters and collect the flags the following day.
Residents are asked not to remove any flags, as they are part of the official maintenance process. Work will continue through the end of November and will not affect water usage or billing.
