BLOOMINGTON —The Bloomington Common Council will hold a Deliberation Session next week to engage in a joint discussion with the Bloomington Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) on key local preservation issues.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers (Room 115) of the Showers Building at 401 N. Morton Street.

The core of the deliberation will focus on the practical challenges and strategies related to maintaining the city’s historic fabric. Topics slated for joint discussion include:
- Historic preservation review processes.
- Current construction and demolition practices.
- Enforcement tools and incentives to encourage preservation efforts.
