LAWRENCE CO.— The Lawrence County Commissioners have approved a contract with Flynn & Son Excavating & Paving Inc. to handle snow removal services for key county properties throughout the upcoming winter season.
The contract covers the area around the Courthouse Square, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, and both Dunn Plaza and Courthouse Plaza, including all associated front and back sidewalks and rear parking lots.
The snow removal agreement will be in effect from November 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
The company and county have established an hourly and per-bag cost schedule for the snow removal equipment and services:

| Plow Truck and Salter | $85 per hour |
| Laborer (for manual walk clearing) | $30 per hour |
| Salt (for sidewalks) | $30 per 50-pound bag |
This contract ensures that crucial county facilities and public access points remain clear and safe for residents and staff throughout the winter months.
