INDIANA — Governor Mike Braun recently commended the Indiana State Police (ISP) for their successful ongoing efforts to enhance public safety across the state.

The Governor highlighted the ISP’s work in combating the drug crisis, noting that officers this year have seized over 51 pounds of fentanyl and nearly 65,000 pills.

ISP’s enforcement efforts have also had a direct impact on traffic safety. Fatalities from drunk driving crashes are down almost 12%, even as the number of DUI arrests has increased.
Governor Braun specifically praised the success of Operation Guardian Angel, a program focused on protecting children. The operation has resulted in 48 arrests of child predators since August. The Governor thanked law enforcement for their commitment to safeguarding Indiana families.
