BLOOMINGTON — A man who had been employed as a parole officer was taken into custody Thursday on a felony charge following an investigation into child pornography, the Bloomington Police Department confirmed.
Stephen Walker, 34, was arrested on the preliminary charge of Possession of Child Pornography, a Level 5 felony. Officials with the BPD confirmed that Walker was a parole officer.
Investigation Traced from Boston
The arrest was the result of a larger investigation that originally began earlier this year in Boston, Massachusetts, centered on an unnamed individual.
According to investigators, the Boston investigation found that the individual there was sharing child pornography online with a person later identified as Walker.
Bloomington police officers located Walker on Thursday, and he was taken into custody without incident.
