INDIANA – The Indiana Supreme Court has released its annual report, providing detailed statistics and highlights of the work conducted by the court and its affiliated agencies during the fiscal year spanning July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

The comprehensive, 70-plus-page report includes data on cases reviewed by the five justices, as well as the judicial branch’s administrative work and key projects.

Chief Justice Loretta Rush is scheduled to discuss the report with the media on Tuesday, October 7, at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern) in the Supreme Court conference room (Statehouse Room 319). Press interested in attending must RSVP to Sarah.Kidwell@courts.in.gov.
Key Highlights from the Annual Report
The data presented in the report showcases significant milestones and projects for the judicial year:
- Case Review: The five justices reviewed more than 692 cases, heard 48 oral arguments, and handed down 50 majority opinions.
- Unanimity: The court demonstrated strong consensus, with 77% of all court opinions being unanimous.
- Training & Education: The court offered more than 1,100 hours of training to judicial officers and other justice system stakeholders. Additionally, the Office of Admissions and Continuing Education is accredited to offer over 25,000 continuing legal education courses.
- Language Access: Courts made 10,300 calls to Language Line for telephone interpreter services, ensuring access to justice.
- System Modernization: Key projects included the establishment of a strategic data modernization program and the continued development of a statewide jail management system, designed to provide policymakers with accurate jail data as they confront overcrowding issues.
- New Guidelines: The Court adopted new Guardian ad Litem Guidelines for Civil Family Law Cases and published a registry of certified Guardian ad Litem.
