BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington City Council has scheduled a special session for Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the city’s 2026 budget.
The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers (#115) at the Showers Building, located at 401 N. Morton Street.

Following the special session, the council will resolve into a Committee of the Whole meeting at 6:45 p.m.
The agenda for the meeting includes the first reading of three key appropriation ordinances for the upcoming year:
- Appropriation Ordinance 2025-11: Establishes the 2026 Civil City Budget for Bloomington.
- Appropriation Ordinance 2025-12: Sets appropriations and tax rates for the Bloomington Transportation Corporation for 2026.
- Appropriation Ordinance 2025-13: Adopts the 2026 budget for the Water and Wastewater Utility Departments.
