BARTHOLOMEW CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces short-term lane and ramp closures at the I-65 and State Road 46 interchange (Exit 68) for routine bridge inspection work in Columbus.

Beginning on or after Tuesday, September 23, short-term I-65 on and off ramp closures will be used at State Road 46 (Exit 68) for up to three days, weather permitting.
The ramp closures are currently planned as follows:
- The northbound I-65 on-ramp from eastbound S.R. 46 will be closed.
- The southbound I-65 on-ramp from westbound S.R. 46 will be closed.
- The northbound I-65 off-ramp to westbound S.R. 46 will be closed.
- The southbound I-65 off-ramp to eastbound S.R. 46 will be closed.
Beginning on or after Tuesday, September 23, short-term lane closures will be used on eastbound and westbound S.R. 46 at I-65 for up to three days, weather permitting.
The lane closures are currently planned as follows:
- Westbound S.R. 46 will be reduced to two through lanes just east of I-65 and under the I-65 overpass.
- All turn lanes from westbound S.R. 46 will be closed between the I-65 overpass and the westbound S.R. 46 to I-65 on-ramp.
- Eastbound S.R. 46 will be reduced to two through lanes just west of I-65 and under the I-65 overpass.
- All turn lanes from eastbound S.R. 46 will be closed between the I-65 overpass and the eastbound S.R. 46 to I-65 on-ramp.
Overall inspection work is expected to take up to three days, weather permitting.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
