Raymond ‘Frank’ Franklin Poore went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 5:23 p.m., at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Frank was born June 3, 1942, in Springville, to Charles Dewey and Mildred (Pascal) Poore. He married Brenda (Baker) Poore in 1964, and she survives. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, working on lawn mowers and small engines, and spending time with his family.
Frank was an extremely talented gardener. Sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends brought him genuine happiness. He could always be counted on to lend a hand to anyone.
He was blessed with many good neighbors whom he enjoyed spending time with.
Frank is survived by his wife, Brenda; three children, Donna Morrow, Jim (Mary) Poore, and Catherine “Chrissy” (Shaggy) Edwards; 11 grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Charles Poore; a sister-in-law, Brenda Poore; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Bradley Ray Poore, and siblings Herb Poore, Bill Poore, Richard Poore, and Helen Poore Reynolds; a son-in-law, Eugene Morrow; one granddaughter, Amber Morrow; and three great-grandchildren, Brady Morrow, Reggie Ray, and Natalie Lake.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, 818 18th Street, Bedford, Indiana. Inurnment will take place immediately following the visitation at Springville Cemetery West.
