VINCENNES — A Vincennes woman was arrested early Sunday morning after she allegedly bit a state trooper during a traffic stop.
Norma Jane Worland, 37, was pulled over by Indiana State Police for a license plate light violation.

According to police, Worland showed signs of impairment and failed a series of field sobriety tests. She also refused to take a chemical test. During the arrest, police say Worland became uncooperative and bit one of the officers.
She has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement, and battery on a police officer. Worland has since posted bond.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
