- Battery resulting in serious bodily injury.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Carlquist fled the scene after the shooting. A day-long search ended with his arrest on February 15. The incident took place at a cabin identified as the residence of Nathan Harmon, who was shot multiple times but survived.

Following the shooting, investigators reportedly found over 83 grams of methamphetamine, several scales, drug paraphernalia, and $6,000 in cash inside Harmon’s home. Harmon was later arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses, including dealing methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and unlawful possession of a syringe.
Carlquist’s jury trial is scheduled for November 18. Harmon is set to return to court for a pretrial conference on September 30, with his trial also slated for November 18.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
