SPENCER COUNTY – On Wednesday, September 3rd, at approximately 7:40 a.m., area police responded to a residence in Gentryville for reports of a male sitting inside a vehicle outside of a residence, shooting at the house. A suspect and vehicle description were given. A short time later, the Santa Claus Police Department located the male, Kody Curtsinger. Curtsinger was detained at his residence.

Further investigation revealed the residence in Gentryville was struck with several small-caliber rounds. There were two people inside the residence, but no one was injured. A search warrant was requested for the Curtsinger residence and was granted through the Spencer County Court. During the search of the residence, several suspected explosive devices were located. Indiana State Police EOD was called to the scene and safely disposed of the devices. Curtsinger was transported to the Spencer County Jail, where he is being held without bond.

- Possession of a Destructive Device, Level 5 Felony (5 Counts)
- Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm, Level 5 Felony
- Pointing a Loaded Firearm, Level 6 Felony

This incident is still under investigation, and charges are pending.
