JACKSON CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc., is scheduled to close East County Road 600 South over I-65 on or after Monday, September 15, to complete a bridge deck overlay project just east of Crothersville.
The closure will take place over I-65, located just north of Exit 36, and is expected to reopen in late October, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows U.S. 31 to West Booe Road to County Road 50 West.
Intermittent overnight lane closures will be used on I-65 at County Road 600 while work is in progress. INDOT will provide additional information via Facebook and X.
This project is part of a $6.8 million contract awarded to E&B in July 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
