Scott Alan Wade, 51, of Mitchell, transcended from this plane of existence to the next, surrounded by his loved ones on August 28, 2025.
Scott was born on September 18, 1973, in Bedford, Indiana, to George Robert “Bob” and Mary Ellen (Thomas) Wade. Scott graduated from Shoals High School and held several jobs, but it was obvious to all that his favorite was being a loving Dad, Husband, and Papaw. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, dedication, and loyalty to his family and friends, and the light he shone upon those he considered close. A man of extraordinary curiosity, he found joy in a wide variety of passions, including but definitely not limited to: drawing, loving his grandchildren, playing video games with his kids, going antique shopping, ghost hunting, fishing, and learning about anything and everything that he was curious about.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Brian Lee Wade. He is survived by his wife: (Leslie) Jolynn Wade; kids: Delaney (Adrianna) Wade, Dalton (Brianna) Chowning, Sawyer Wade, and Sophie Wade; grandchildren: Eleanor Chowning and Alena Wade; close cousin Penny Thomas (Stancil); best friends: Tony (Amy) Holt, Drew (Amy) Grafton, and Cliff (Kari) Goodman; loved nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and other close family. His memorial service will be held from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday September 6th, at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford, Indiana. Condolences may be made at www.cresthavenfh.com.
