BEDFORD – Housing Authority City of Bedford will open its Hamilton Courts Apartments waitlist for Bedroom sizes 2 through 5. Pre-applications will be available for the Public Housing waiting list on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12:00 pm and will remain open until further notice. A (10)-day notice will be given before the closing of the waiting list.
Applicants can get applications via the Housing Authority website www.bhabedford.com, in person at their main office, 1305 K Street in Bedford, or call (812) 279-2356 Ext 10 for Lindsey Hughes. The Public Housing waiting list is NOT first-come, first-served. The waiting list is ordered and ranked by preference points, which the family must verify. Please visit the main office or call the phone number above for a listing of the local preference point system utilized by the Housing Authority City of Bedford. In order to qualify, applicants must be income eligible (annual income must not exceed 50% Area Median Income) and annual household income must not exceed:
- 1 Person: $31,500
- 2 Persons: $36,000
- 3 Persons: $40,500
- 4 Persons: $45,000
- 5 Persons: $48,600
- 6 Persons: $52,200
- 7 Persons: $55,800
- 8 Persons: $59,400
