BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners have awarded a contract to Flynn & Sons Excavating & Paving Inc. for two paving projects, with work slated to begin soon.
The primary project involves paving an area behind the Lawrence County Annex. A grant, secured by Lawrence County Circuit Court Judge Nathan Nikirk, will fund the installation of a new fence, and paving crews will then work inside the newly enclosed area. The paving project is budgeted at $6,000.
Additionally, Flynn & Sons will be responsible for paving and repairing potholes in the lower parking lot of Courthouse Plaza. This work will be completed at a cost of $4,000.
According to county officials, the funds for the paving projects will be sourced from the annex budget.
