Kathy Lea Gulley, 71, of Bedford, IN, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at IU Health Hospice House, Bloomington, IN.
Born on December 18, 1953, she was the daughter of Edna (McFarland) Young and Lester Pierce. She married James Gulley on May 7, 2004, and he survives.
Kathy was a graduate of Marion High School and went on to earn an associate degree. She was a retired business owner, an animal lover, and often took in stray cats.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, James Gulley; children, Eric (Ally) Gulley, Jordan (Nicole) Gulley, Tyler (Megan) Gulley; adopted son, Ryan (Samantha) McFarland; and claimed daughter, Kathy Sears. She also leaves behind several cousins, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edna (McFarland) Young and Lester Pierce; stepfather, Vernon Young; her maternal grandparents; and two children.
There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
