WASHINGTON COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on State Road 60 on or after Wednesday, August 27, in Campbellsburg.
The speed limit will be reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph on S.R. 60 between just west of South Bilyeu Road and just east of North Hickory Street, and will be reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph between just east of North Hickory Street and just east of North Marshall Road.

The reduced speed limit is intended to improve safety along S.R. 60 in Campbellsburg. Advanced speed limit warning signs will be installed to help emphasize this change.
A no-passing zone will also be installed on S.R. 60 between West Oak Street and Sycamore Street to help reduce speeds and enhance safety in Campbellsburg.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
