Bedford man arrested on allegations of child solicitation

BEDFORD — An affidavit for probable cause filed by the Bedford Police Department alleges that Austin L. Frazier, 30, of Bedford, committed the offense of child solicitation.

The alleged incident occurred on June 29, 2025, at a residence on F Street.

According to the affidavit, a woman reported that her nine-year-old daughter was allegedly touched inappropriately by Frazier. The affidavit states that the child told her mother that Frazier sexually touched her while they were at his residence.

An interview with the child was conducted at Susie’s Place, where she disclosed details about the alleged touching. The affidavit states that an arrest warrant was requested for Frazier. He was detained on August 16 on a charge of child solicitation. He posted a $2,000 bond and was released on the same day. He is scheduled to appear in Lawrence County Superior Court I before Judge John Plummer III for an initial hearing on September 16, at 1:30 p.m.
