BEDFORD — The Lawrence County Highway Department has announced its schedule for upcoming paving projects, which will proceed as long as the weather permits.
The following roads are on the paving schedule:
- August 25: Stonington Road from Fishing Creek Church to Earl Road
- August 26: Glenview Estates, located off East 50
- August 27: Leatherwood Creek Estates, located off East 50
- August 28: Maul Ridge Road from Tripleton Pike to Old Farm Road
The department advises the public that there will be traffic interruptions on East 50 on August 26 and 27.
Flaggers will be present, and one lane will be closed to allow equipment and asphalt trucks to access the paving sites. Drivers are asked to be patient and to watch for warning signs and flaggers during these projects.
