BOONE CO. — A three-day undercover operation led by the Boone County Child Abuse and Sexual Exploitation (CASE) Task Force and the Indiana State Police has resulted in the arrest of five individuals accused of attempting to abuse minors sexually. The operation, which was conducted in collaboration with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, focused on identifying and apprehending people who use digital platforms to target children.
Undercover officers engaged with suspects online by adopting various identities. These interactions led to the arrest of several individuals who traveled to Boone County to engage in sexual activity with minors.
The five individuals arrested are:
- Zachary Bullock, 31, of Indianapolis: Charged with Level 4 Felony Attempted Child Molestation and Level 5 Felony Child Solicitation.
- Nicholas Bozzone, 27, of Plainfield: Charged with Level 4 Felony Conspiracy to Commit Child Molestation, Level 5 Felony Attempted Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, Level 5 Felony Child Solicitation, and Level 5 Felony Attempted Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors.
- Ethan Craun, 27, of Carmel: Charged with Level 5 Felony Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.
- Evan Geeslin, 60, of Richmond: Charged with Level 5 Felony Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.
- Daniel Trusty, 36, of Russiaville: Charged with Level 5 Felony Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The extensive operation involved dozens of law enforcement professionals from various agencies, including the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Zionsville Police Department, Lebanon Police Department, Whitestown Police Department, and the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office. Other supporting agencies included the Department of Homeland Security, as well as police departments from Avon, Plainfield, Westfield, Greenfield, Terre Haute, and the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.
Boone County Sheriff Tony Harris stated that the Sheriff’s Office is “proud to stand alongside our law enforcement partners in this vital mission,” and that protecting children is one of their highest priorities.
First Sergeant/ICAC Commander Christopher Cecil for the Indiana State Police said the operation is a “powerful example of what can be achieved when local, state, and federal agencies work together to protect our children”.
